Green-Rainbow Party co-chair Jill Stein, who ran for Governor in 2002 and Secretary of the Commonwealth in 2006, has announced that she intends to enter the 2010 gubernatorial race. The State House News Service broke the story and the Boston Herald picked it up. In a note to supporters, Stein wrote, "Business as usual is still taking a heavy toll on our jobs, health, communities and environment, pushing us towards the brink. More than ever, the old paradigm of infinite growth and corporate profiteering is colliding with the physics of a finite world, and the morality of a human one. More than ever, there is cause to rise up for justice, survival and the future we deserve."
