Introducing the new Green-Rainbow Web site
Welcome to the Green-Rainbow Party's digital reincarnation, the fruit of many a late night on the part of our tech staff--along with ideas and insights from and the ongoing and enthusiastic support of the GRP.
Welcome to current Party members; members of the press; Greens across the globe; our friends in the other major parties; and all those many voters across the Commonwealth who, to date, have remained unenrolled in any party. This site's intended to make conducting Party business more efficient, and, at the same time, to provide a comprehensive introduction to the Green-Rainbow Party. If you're curious about the GRP, you'll find both our values and our policies described in some detail. (You'll also see how closely connected they are). Read about our history, our structure, our goals, our candidates ... and conclude your visit by clicking on "Join the Party!"
Those familiar with our previous site will find that evergreen content is still here, made more accessible by a revamped site map and drop-down menus (a link to the old site will be provided). In addition to a whole new look and structure, new content includes multimedia files, an extensive calendar of regional events, more ways to get involved with organizations and actions we've endorsed, subject-specific pages, and links to our presence on Facebook, YouTube, Flickr, and Twitter (this site is our digital flagship, but it's just one node in our expanding online network).
There are numerous ways for Party members to get involved with what will be an ever-evolving site, from joining a team of editors and dedicated writers to supplying articles, news tips, events, photos, and video. Please think of this site as a hub, a meeting-place, and an exchange, and use it to keep us all up-to-date in regard to your local's activities. Meanwhile, since no web site is a finished product, site administrators are open to your suggestions on how to improve it (see "Website Inquiries," below).
As another example of our renewed capacity, discipline, and unity, it seems more than fitting that we launch our new web site just as our latest electoral campaigns take wing. I hope everyone in the Party shares some sense of accomplishment in this endeavor, and I hope you'll share in continuing to expand its range of offerings. It's yours now. Run with it.
Finally, but far from least: to those of you who lived with this project day-in, day-out for months, allow me to extend a genuinely heartfelt thank-you on behalf of the Party. You've truly raised the bar for all of us.
