GREEN-RAINBOW CONVENTION TO FOCUS ON POLITICAL CHANGE

The state convention of the Green-Rainbow Party will take place on Sunday, November 14 at Clark University, 950 Main Street, Worcester. The theme of the convention is “Your Vision - Your Voice: Building the People’s Choice.” It will feature workshops, panels, and perspectives from this year’s Green-Rainbow candidates including Jill Stein, Rick Purcell, Nat Fortune, Scott Laugenour, and Mark Miller.
Events will run from 9:00am to 6:00 pm. Workshops will focus upon organizing for political change, using the new online media to advance democracy, and addressing the ongoing crises in the areas of the jobs, health care, the environment, war and peace, and social justice.
The convention is open to anyone who supports Green-Rainbow initiatives regardless of party affiliation. A sliding scale admission fee starting at $10 is requested. Tables are available for organizations wishing to make contact with attendees. Attendees are urged to register online by going to www.green-rainbow.org or calling (617) 299-6042.
